How do I create a story manually?
Open Stories, choose Manual composer, give the draft a title, choose its language, then write or dictate the story. Save changes to keep working on the draft later.
How does the AI composer work?
Open AI composer, choose the story language and category, then describe the situation or add speaker turns. Review the generated draft before using or sharing it. AI suggestions remain editable.
How do I add communication symbols?
Use the Symbol browser in the manual composer to search personal, group, or library symbols. Select Insert to place a symbol token at the active point in the story.
Why are symbol names shown in my story language?
The composer requests symbol metadata for the selected story language. When a translated title or term is available, it is used; otherwise the original symbol label remains visible.
What are story groups for?
Groups let trusted parents, educators, and helpers collaborate in a shared workspace. They organize stories, invitations, and approved shared symbols.
How do invitations and sharing work?
Create or open a group, invite trusted people by email, and use the group detail page to manage members. Sharing can be restricted for child-linked accounts until guardian requirements are met.
Can I use a template or make a book?
Yes. Templates provide a starting structure for common situations. Book builder can collect completed stories into a longer sequence when it suits your workflow.
How do language preferences work?
The language selector in navigation changes the app interface and becomes the default for new stories. Each manual or AI story can still choose its own language.
How do voice recording and transcription work?
In the manual composer, record or choose an audio file, then start transcription. Review and edit the resulting text before saving. Keep original audio only when you need it for later review.
How do I manage privacy, notifications, and security?
Use Profile to update account preferences, accessibility options, guardian information, language, password, and MFA. Use Notifications to review alerts and manage device permissions.
